5/28/2023 0 Comments Final draft riley redgate![]() ![]() I loved Seven Ways We Lie and Noteworthy, and I’m happy to report that Final Draft is another book I’m adding to my favorites list.įinal Draft is just what it sounds like, a book all about reading and writing and what it means to be a writer. ![]() Redgate’s books have all (so far) been contemporary YA, but they span a range of settings and issues, and I never know what to expect - in the best possible way. Review: Riley Redgate is one of those authors who is always full of surprises. ![]() Nazarenko has led Laila to believe that she must choose between perfection and sanity-but rejecting her all-powerful mentor may be the only way for Laila to thrive. Soon Laila is pushing herself far from her comfort zone, discovering the psychedelic highs and perilous lows of nightlife, temporary flings, and instability. But before long, Laila grows obsessed with gaining the woman’s approval. ![]() But three months before her graduation, he’s suddenly replaced-by Nadiya Nazarenko, a Pulitzer Prize–winning novelist who is sadistically critical and perpetually unimpressed.Īt first, Nazarenko’s eccentric assignments seem absurd. Her creative writing teacher has always told her she has a special talent. Summary: The only sort of risk 18-year-old Laila Piedra enjoys is the peril she writes for the characters in her stories: epic sci-fi worlds full of quests, forbidden love, and robots. ![]()

This Greek text by Lucius of Patrae has been lost, but there is Lucius or the Ass ( Λούκιος ἢ ὄνος, Loukios ē onos), a similar tale of disputed authorship, traditionally attributed to the writer Lucian, a contemporary of Apuleius. Apuleius adapted the story from a Greek original of which the author's name is said to be an otherwise unknown "Lucius of Patrae", also the name of the lead character and narrator. ![]() It has variously been considered by scholars as a youthful work preceding Apuleius' Apology of 158–159, or as the climax of his literary career, and perhaps as late as the 170s or 180s. We then descended on the broom hedged path to the charming Le Pont de Montvert, where we spent the night. ![]() Staring at the almost endless undulating hills it was not difficult to see why Stevenson was taken by the scenery. And just like Stevenson, we were greeted with sweeping views. The peak of Finiels seemed teasingly close but we only reached the summit – the highest peak of the Cévennes and the highest point of the entire trek – at around midday. Trees soon petered out and gave way to smaller shrubs, and soon we climbed the standing stone-lined path. But without a doubt the landscape there was dominated by Mt Lozére (with its highest peak, Finiels). Looking back from the ridge I could work out the mountains we traversed the day before. On the morning of the seventh day we left Le Bleymard. We walked day after day and gradually the rolling hills became higher and there were fewer hamlets to walk through as the GR70 trail entered the Cévennes. ![]() 5/28/2023 0 Comments Groep Sonder Grense by H.F.
